Hi and Welcome Wise Women
I hope you are all well, happy and bursting with energy!
We have just celebrated Australia Day and what a day it was!

A typical hot, steamy, summers day, streets filled with patriotic, flag waving, green and gold clad revellers.
Many of us Aussies opted to have mates over for a backyard “do” to celebrate our heritage by searing lamb chops on the barbie and washing them down with icy cold beers or a glass or two of crisp Aussie white.

Thousands of other happy party-goers visited Sydney Harbour to witness the annual and fiercely contested ferry race with commuter ferry’s sailing at full speed, closely followed by a spectacle of decorated water crafts in all shapes and sizes.

Parties all over Australia continued all day and many ended spectacularly with a thunderous explosion of bright colourful fireworks illuminating the night sky.

It’s so good to be alive!

Turn Back the Clock

I recently received my highly anticipated package from the US, containing Carolyn’s Facial Fitness System. The products are divine and the facial exercise program is amazing. I have taken some before photos of myself (scary) and in 4 months time I will compare them and share my progress with you.
Carolyn has kindly offered to do the assessment. I am so impressed by Carolyn’s own personal results that I just can’t wait to see improvements in my own face and neck. I so want to get rid of the jiggley bits!!

Pellowah Healing

Many of you may remember that I recently became a Pellowah Practitioner and have since practiced my “trade” on family members.
They truly are a sceptical lot, so I was extremely chuffed when they reported back to me that they were sincerely astonished by their positive results.
Pellowah is a simple powerful and effective form of energy healing increasing the capacity for positive change in your life. Pellowah isn’t just for therapists who would like to learn a new modality or for those who require some healing, Pellowah is for Personal and Spiritual expansion whatever stage of life you are in.
You may have found yourself at cross-roads or simply are searching for a better more fulfilling life. There is Light at the end of the tunnel. We are now past the stage of doing things the hard way.
Pellowah creates that change of mind that is much needed at this time, enabling life to unfold with more grace and ease.
My facilitator Ensha Reiya is again conducting workshops in Sydney Level 1 Saturday 27th February Level 2 Sunday 28th February.

Happy New Year Wise Women

2010 is going to be one hell of a year!

I just spotted santa
The last few weeks for me, have been all about family.

Gigi and I at the head of the table
This year I enjoyed a wonderful Xmas Day at my daughter and son-in-laws home. Some of you may already know, my son-in-law is Gigi’s son, so both of our families celebrated Xmas together.
Santa made a surprise visit with gifts for everyone and we relished the opportunity to sit on Santa’s knee (I know I did).
Two of my grandchildren were there and watching their gorgeous faces light up when Santa arrived brought back treasured memories of Christmases past when my own children were young. So much fun!

Miss Charlie Meets Santa, Bam Bam is not so keen
New Years Eve was also spent at my daughter’s home watching the magnificent fireworks display on TV. We wore our festive hats and greeted in the New Year with whistles blowing and lots of kisses all round.
The last two years were spent in the city amid the jostling crowds, marvelling at the fireworks spectacle up close, which is truly a magical experience, however, this year we wisely opted to avoid the crowds and decided to enjoy a more comfortable, peaceful and intimate celebration.
Every year the fireworks display just seems to get better and this year was certainly no exception.

Did you make a New Year’s resolution this year?
Some of my friends vowed to get fit, others have vowed to quit binge drinking and one has vowed to reserve one day per month to spend with girlfriends (I like that one).
My resolution for 2010 is to bring JOY into my life every day and try not to sweat the small stuff. Why is it that we seem to get so bogged down with work, family issues and everyday “stuff” that we just don’t get enough time to have some fun and get the most out of this very short life? How often do you take the time to just sit and watch the ocean or marvel at the intricacies of a flower in full bloom?
When was the last time you actually sat down with your son or daughter and had an in-depth, one on one conversation with no interruptions? Imagine how special they would feel if we spent more time doing this?
On 1 January 2010 I started a new daily ritual, upon waking each morning - I give thanks for the new day and for the privilege of being alive and then I take the time to think of ways to bring joy into my day.
It’s so uplifting to start the day with a smile.
This practice really grounds me and makes me realise what I have been missing in the past while I have been mindlessly rushing about.
My Hospital Stay
Some of you may remember that I was ill in the lead up to Xmas, well I have been in hospital and had, among other things, a haemorrhoidectomy. It is a hideous operation and the pain can be quite unbearable at times and it’s not something that people usually like to discuss.
Currently, I not only have a pain in the bum, my husband tells me I am a pain in the bum!
I’m into my fourth day and I’m on the road to recovery (so they tell me), so I perceive this to be a healthy start to the New Year.
I really can’t wait until I’m feeling 100% again, although I must admit... I have been enjoying the attention I have been receiving and I just love being pandered to.
However, I won’t miss the tight knee length socks that I have to endure for two weeks (to prevent thrombosis).
It’s extremely difficult to feel desirable when you have an inflated belly full of gas, dressed in an unflattering nightie and wearing those unsightly long white socks, while trying to balance oneself on a chair on one cheek, and having to excuse oneself on a regular basis to visit the bathroom for pain relieving salt baths!
I hope things change for the better soon as I will be celebrating my 35th wedding anniversary on the 1st February.
Look 10 Years Younger

How many times have you heard that?
I’ve tried all the lotions and potions that promise to “turn back the clock” but my wrinkles just won’t budge.
However, I’m on to something that is a permanent fix and it doesn’t involve surgery or Botulism injections!
It is simple facial exercises, and only takes 15 minutes a day to master and best of all...it works!
Anyone can do it.
I started doing the exercises when I saw Carolyn Cleaves on TV and I am already experiencing visible results. I was so impressed by this method that I wanted to share it with you, so I contacted Carolyn in the US and she kindly agreed to be interviewed for wise womens world.
Read what she has to say, start the facial exercises and you too will be looking younger in just a few weeks.
√ Gigi and I only recommend products and treatments that we have tried ourselves and have earned our tick of approval.

Turkey Stuff Ups

On Xmas Day, Gigi and I were asked to bring a turkey each to our celebratory lunch and I was so blasé about it as I usually cook the whole elaborate baked dinner (3 meats and 5 vegies) for the entire family.
I wasn’t going to mention it here, but I noticed that Gigi brought up the subject in her “wise week” and I thought I had better come clean.
I cooked the super sized, stuffed turkey on Xmas Eve as I knew I would be visiting people on Xmas morning and wouldn’t have time to cook it before lunch.
Upon returning home to pick up and calve the turkey (20 minutes before lunch), I realised that the Turkey was still a tad rare – this has never happened to me before (honestly)!! In a raging panic, Mr J and I desperately tried to cook pieces in the oven, fry pan and microwave so that it would be ready for lunch. The kitchen was a flurry of erratic activity as we tried to save lunch from a pending disaster. Anyway, we strategically arranged the pieces on the platter and headed off to the party trying to remain cool calm and collected for our arrival.
PS I wisely chose to eat Gigi’s perfectly cooked turkey!!
Visit Gigi

Gigi is looking fantastic and is absolutely glowing from her holiday fun (as you can see above).
She has lots of news to tell you so pay her a visit now

To my wonderful family and friends,
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and well wishes during my illness.
I am so blessed to have you.
Love and hugs to you.
